A Hazardous Chemical Occurs in Kaiyang Section of Shenhai High-speed Highway

At 6:16 pm on June 25, 2016, a traffic accident took place in the section of K3187+300 (Enping, Jiangmen) section of Kaiyang section of Shenhai high-speed section of Kaiyang toward Guangzhou. A tanker truck loaded with white oil flew upside down on the right side of the road after driving a tractor containing styrene in the same direction in front of the rear end of the main lane and causing the two vehicles to catch fire and burn. At 10:58, the fire at the scene of the accident was extinguished and by 15:50, the accident was restored to traffic. The accident killed two people on a tank tractor loaded with white oil. Currently, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
